I’m so happy to bring the incredible illustrations of E. H. Shepherd to embroidery through his delightful character Winnie-the-Pooh. Because his work entered the public domain it’s possible to share these charming illustrations and enable another generation to enjoy his talent.

I’ve enjoyed reading his autobiography Drawn From Life and the lovely book The Art of Winnie-the-Pooh: How E. H. Shepard Illustrated an Icon with a forward from his granddaughter Minette. This book shares many never before seen sketches.

I love the journey I’m able to go on, as I research and plan embroidery kits and boxes, learning about illustrators and writers, glimpsing their lives and inspiration and hopefully sharing that through my own work.
